Lumbar Disc Replacement

Artificial disc replacement surgery involves replacing a painful disc with an artificially-made disc.  CSC offers a variety of FDA-approved Artificial Disc Replacements for the lumbar, thoracic & cervical spine such as the Pro-Disc-C, the Pro-Disc L, the Mobi-C  , and the Simplify.  These discs are constructed to mimic the natural movement of the spine.

Dr. Peloza has been performing artificial disc replacement procedures early on, since their introduction to the market many years ago.  In fact, in April, 2017, he performed the first case in the U.S. of the Simplify two-level cervical disc replacement.  In 2007, he performed the first case in the southwest since FDA approval of the Prestige disc. He continues to be involved as an investigator in numerous clinical research trials studying the efficacy and outcomes of today’s modern artificial discs.
